Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat, stir in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Arrange half the Doritos in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle half the seasoned beef over the chips, add half the black beans, and scatter 1.5 cups of cheese over everything.
- Create a second layer with the remaining Doritos, top with remaining beef, beans, and the final 1.5 cups of cheese.
- Add jalapeño slices if desired. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
- Remove from the oven and add fresh toppings: dollop sour cream, guacamole, and salsa, then sprinkle diced tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, and olives.
Notes
Don't overload the pan to ensure even melting. Keep wet toppings separate until serving to maintain crispiness. Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting. Watch the oven closely to avoid burning the cheese.
