Ingredients

  • 8-10 black tea bags
  • 1 ½ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 gallon filtered water
  • 6-8 cups cold filtered water
  • Optional: Lemon slices, mint sprigs, or berries for garnish

Method

  1. Brew the Sun Tea: Place tea bags in a clean 1-gallon glass jar, fill with cold filtered water, secure the lid, and place in the sun for 3-5 hours. Remove tea bags and refrigerate.
  2. Prepare the Lemonade Base: Combine lemon juice and sugar in a pitcher, stir until dissolved, then add cold filtered water and adjust sweetness. Chill.
  3. Combine and Serve: Mix equal parts chilled sun tea and lemonade in a serving pitcher, stir gently, and serve over ice with optional garnishes.

Notes

Ensure to use filtered water for the best flavor. Store components separately for longer freshness.
