Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle (750ml) Dry Red Wine
  • 1/2 Cup Brandy
  • 1/4 Cup Orange Liqueur
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Honey or Simple Syrup
  • 2 Medium Fresh Peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Blueberries
  • 1 Cup Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 Lemon, sliced
  • 1 Lime, sliced
  • 1 Cup Sparkling Water

Method

  1. Wash all your fruit thoroughly. Slice the peaches into thin wedges, the strawberries into rounds, and the citrus into thin circles. Leave the blueberries whole.
  2. Pour the bottle of wine into a large glass pitcher. Add the brandy, orange liqueur, and fresh orange juice. Stir the mixture gently.
  3. Add your honey or simple syrup to the pitcher. Stir vigorously for about thirty seconds to ensure the sweetener dissolves completely.
  4. Carefully drop all the prepared fruit into the pitcher. Give it one more gentle stir.
  5. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  6. Just before serving, pour in the chilled sparkling water.
  7. Fill individual glasses with ice and pour the Summertime Sangria over the ice, ensuring each glass gets plenty of the soaked fruit.

Notes

Keep the Summertime Sangria in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Avoid adding ice to the pitcher to prevent dilution. Customize the fruit based on what's in season.
