Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the cake batter according to package directions and pour it into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake bakes, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water and add cold water.
- Let the cake cool for 15 minutes, then poke holes all over the cake with a wooden spoon handle.
- Pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cake and refrigerate for at least three hours.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping over the cake and arrange fresh sliced strawberries on top.
Notes
Use room temperature eggs for better incorporation. Allow the cake to cool for exactly 15 minutes before poking holes to avoid sogginess. Chill overnight for best flavor.
