Method
- Wash strawberries under cold running water, remove hulls, and cut larger berries in half.
- Place strawberries, basil leaves, lime juice, and 2 cups of cold water into a blender. Add sweetener.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and vibrant.
- Optionally strain through a fine-mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
- Pour remaining 4 cups of water into the pitcher and stir well.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice if necessary.
- Serve over ice and garnish with basil or strawberry slices.
Notes
Use organic strawberries for better flavor. Store in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours. Can be made with frozen strawberries or mint as a substitute for basil.
