- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
- Stir sugar into the melted butter until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Sift together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no flour streaks remain.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before decorating.
- Cut into squares and decorate with frosting and toppings.

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze undecorated brownies for up to 3 months.
