Ingredients
  

  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans green beans, drained
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (6 ounce) can French fried onions, divided
  • Pinch of salt (optional, to taste)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 1.5 or 2-quart baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans.
  3. Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder (if using), and black pepper. Stir until the green beans are evenly coated.
  4. Fold in about two-thirds of the French fried onions.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top.
  8. Return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure to drain green beans well to avoid a watery casserole. You can make this dish ahead of time and refrigerate it before baking.
