Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 1.5 or 2-quart baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder (if using), and black pepper. Stir until the green beans are evenly coated.
- Fold in about two-thirds of the French fried onions.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top.
- Return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
- Let it stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure to drain green beans well to avoid a watery casserole. You can make this dish ahead of time and refrigerate it before baking.
