Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar (filling)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter (filling, melted)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly. Press into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in pecans.
  5. Pour the filling over the hot crust and return to the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the filling is set.
  6. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. These bars freeze well for up to three months.
