Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup guacamole or mashed avocado
  • 1 cup salsa (your favorite)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1-2 large bags tortilla chips

Method
 

  1. Select a 9x13-inch glass baking dish or similar serving platter.
  2. Mix refried beans with taco seasoning in a bowl and spread evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. Combine softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy, then spread over the bean layer.
  4. Gently spread guacamole or mashed avocado over the creamy layer.
  5. Spoon salsa evenly over the guacamole layer.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the salsa, then arrange diced tomatoes, sliced olives, and green onions on top.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead of time and tastes better when refrigerated overnight. Use room-temperature cream cheese for easier spreading. Drain watery ingredients to prevent sogginess.
