Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Unroll your thawed puff pastry sheets onto a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into six equal rectangles.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each rectangle.
- Layer ham slices on half of each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella cheese. Add a pinch of garlic powder and black pepper.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to create a pocket. Press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over the top of each stick. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Arrange the sticks on your prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Let the Ham And Cheese Sticks cool for five minutes before serving.
Notes
These sticks can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. They can also be frozen before or after baking.
