Method
- Wash and dry the cucumbers thoroughly. Cut cucumbers into 1/8-inch thick rounds.
- Place sliced cucumbers in a colander and toss with kosher salt. Let stand for 30 minutes.
- Whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, white wine vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl. Add fresh dill and mix until smooth.
- Rinse cucumbers under cold water to remove excess salt. Pat dry.
- Add dried cucumbers and red onion to the dressing. Toss gently and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Ensure to salt cucumbers to remove excess moisture. Use fresh dill for best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
