- In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of one slice of bread, then top with another slice to create a sandwich. Repeat until you have four sandwiches.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and ground cinnamon. Dip each sandwich into the custard for 20-30 seconds per side.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt butter. Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Serve immediately with toppings.
Notes
Use stale bread for better absorption of custard. Cook on medium-low heat for even cooking.
