  • 2 Cups Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1.5 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamo
  • 1 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

Method
 

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the whole milk and water over medium-high heat until it reaches a gentle boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in the rolled oats and kosher salt. Simmer uncovered for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once the oats reach desired consistency, stir in dark brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and pure vanilla extract.
  4. Add unsalted butter and stir until melted. Let sit for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute whole milk with almond milk or coconut milk. You can also add toppings like walnuts or fresh fruit.
