Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamo
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the biscuit dough and separate into individual biscuits. Gently flatten each one slightly.
  3. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces.
  4. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  5. Place about two tablespoons of chopped apple filling in the center of each flattened biscuit. Sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Fold the biscuit dough over the filling, creating a half-moon shape. Press edges firmly with a fork to seal.
  7. Brush each filled biscuit with melted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  8. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  10. While biscuits bake, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  11. Remove biscuits from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle with the vanilla glaze while still warm.

Notes

Keep biscuit dough cold for flakiness. Seal edges well to prevent leaking. Brush with butter for a golden finish. Serve warm for best flavor.
